Boson Energy and the Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining sign Letter of Intent to combine forces in the development of pragmatic and affordable eco-technology

Warsaw, December 6, 2016. Boson Energy Polska (“BEP”) and the Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining (“IMBiGS”) announce that they have signed recently a letter of intent aiming at exploring research and development collaborations in view of developing waste-to-value solutions.

Poland’s increased focus on renewable energy as well as the Government’s decision to secure energy independence open interesting opportunities for new bio-based technologies based on locally available feedstock.

The partnership seeks to combine two things: 1. Boson’s proprietary gasification technology offers an efficient and cost effective solution for small scale CHP which responds to the country’s need for distributed and sustainable base-load power and heat; and 2. The Institute’s expertise in the fields of energy-efficient technologies, energy-saving machinery and power production from renewable energy sources. A key objective is to involve the institute as a privileged partner to support the implementation of Boson’s technology platform under the “Smart Growth Operational Programme and Regional Operational Programmes” schemes.

Jan Grimbrandt, CEO and Chairman of the Board, Boson Energy S.A.:
“The signing of this agreement is in line with our company’s commitment to developing and deploying innovative, future-proof energy provision solutions in Poland. Thanks to its visionary and yet pragmatic approach the country is well positioned to lead by example, and the Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining is a highly respected Polish institution with domain competence that fits very well with Boson’s own.”

Stefan Góralczyk, Director of the Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining: „According to the development strategy adopted by our Institute, activities in the area of environmental technology and waste management are one of the key areas of Institute’s interest. The Institute closely cooperates in the implementation of environmental projects on international, national and regional levels. Due to the established research and development cooperation with Boson Energy the Institute will be able to carry out joint projects and support the implementation of innovative solutions in the renewable energy sector.”
