BOSON ENERGY and ASW signs JV
Press Release | 12 September 2019
BOSON ENERGY and Approved Storage & Waste Hauling ink Joint Venture agreement to start U.S. rollout of radically better, cleaner and cheaper medical waste treatment

Mt VERNON, NY & LUXEMBOURG. BOSON ENERGY is pleased to announce that a JOINT VENTURE contract has been executed between U.S. based regional medical waste company Approved Storage & Waste Hauling (ASW) and Luxembourg-based BOSON ENERGY – developer of next-generation clean waste-to-energy and waste-to-hydrogen solutions.

The JV contract embodies the shared vision of both BOSON & ASW’s senior leadership teams, to transform the way regulated medical waste is currently treated, from a fractured, environmentally inefficient process to a clean, consolidated, environmentally responsible method benefitting all stakeholders.

In addition to solidifying BOSON and ASW’s commitment to build and operate their first plant together in the North East U.S., this contract outlines a map to jointly develop a minimum of 20 plants across the country.

This is an industry first in the global medical waste industry and a landmark development in BOSON ENERGY’s medical waste treatment business in the U.S.

ASW is the second largest medical waste management company in the North East U.S. operating three existing medical waste facilities and servicing 11 states and the District of Columbia.

ASW Vice President Charles Dippolito, Jr: "This agreement reinforces our commitment of creating local jobs and utilizing environmentally sustainable technologies in communities that benefit from them the most"

BOSON ENERGY Founder and CEO Jan Grimbrandt: "BOSON ENERGY could not ask for a better partner. ASW is a strong regional player in the medical waste treatment space and ASW’s excellent track record shows that they truly understand what it takes to build an infrastructure in a highly regulated environment. Charlie's insights and tenacity in a business he built from the ground up can only enhance our joint effort in the US".

Approved Storage & Waste Hauling Inc services over 8000 medical, dental, municipal, & educational facilities in 11 states from Maine to Washington DC.  ASW own and operate licensed medical waste transfer stations in Westchester County, NY & Lincoln, RI as well as 3,000,000 lb per month (1500 metric tons) medical waste disposal facilities in Connecticut and Westchester County New York.

BOSON ENERGY SA has developed distributed technology that allows for clean, affordable and reliable conversion of mixed, hazardous, and medical wastes and low value biomass into Hydrogen, power, heat or cooling for direct local use. BOSON ENERGY’s technology completely destroys the waste and does not produce any toxic ash residues requiring further treatment and deposit. BOSON ENERGY was founded in 2008, with the vision to transform waste from an existential threat into a resource supporting our existence. And doing that by treating local waste right where it happens, literally within the ‘first mile’. BOSON ENERGY is a winner of two Red Herring 100 Awards in Europe and North America respectively. BOSON ENERGY is also the only solid waste technology in the world currently under evaluation by the Clean Ganga Mission in India – to develop a first plant stemming the flow of waste into the Ganges river. BOSON ENERGY is currently developing a number of commercial flagship projects around the world – including Germany, UK, Poland, Israel, India, the U.S., and Mexico.
